Set in the picturesque and tranquil Eden Valley of Cumbria, Chapel House Cottage is a beautiful sandstone cottage which was converted and extended from the original outbuildings in the grounds of Chapel House on the edge of Cotehill Village. Chapel house cottage provides an ideal retreat for those who wish to get away from it all. The village has a traditional pub serving food and is 4 miles from the villages of whetheral and Armathwaite on either side which boasts of several pubs, restaurants, Health club and sporting activities.
The Eden Valley is one of the least populated and unspoilt areas of Cumbria and England and yet is a treasure trove of holiday activities, located within easy reach of the Border city of Carlisle and Penrith. The city of Carlisle forms the divide between England and Scotland. This fantastic landscape with acres of rolling hills and wide open countryside has a particular appeal for those who appreciate fresh air and walking in the outdoors. The area is a haven for outdoor activities and is extremely popular with walkers, cyclists, canoeists, fishermen and golfers.
There are walks for every level of walker, from the short walk for all the family, to the ascent of some of the highest peaks in the Lake District which is easily accessible from here.
